About Careers in the Arts
Careers in the Arts is a joint project between The Corn Exchange Newbury and The Watermill Theatre to inspire and educate young people aged 11 - 25 in West Berkshire and North Hampshire in what a career in the arts can and does look like.
Our Aims
We want young people to feel confident in their ambitions to pursue a career in the arts – whatever that may be!
To educate and enlighten young people, parents and teachers in what a career in the arts can and does look like. We want to change the assumption that performing is the only way to have a career in the arts.
To have fun! We recognise that talking about different career paths and all that they may entail, as a young person can be daunting. We want everyone who engages with the project to feel supported, be confident and have fun!
